I don't remember how much we talked on stop motion, but I don't think I ever made a blog on it.
I have a love/hate relationship with stop motion too. I don't care much to produce it myself, and aside from the super duper insane stop motion-ers at Laika, it usually holds minimal interest for me. The most stop-motion gets me is "oh that's really neat that they did that I appreciate the work they put into it and it's kind of fun" but I usually don't return to it or rave about it and I don't get as worked up about it as I do about the animation in Paranorman or Box Trolls where the stop-motion is so well done you can barely tell it from CGI.
But aside from the art of it and the texture and look, it kind of begs the question of is it really even worth it to do that fluid of stop-motion, or would it be better to just produce a CGI realm, since with the right texturing and modeling and all that jazz, you could technically create the same look and feel. Heck CGI animators even animate shorts in a way to make them look like they're stop-motion. So aside from the art of it and the appreciation for the work put into it I guess I don't see the point, but I do admire the work that's put into stop-motion pieces.
