Slender Man

Slender man is probably the only scary video game I’ve ever played. The graphics aren’t that great and the game doesn’t have a ton of purpose except for collecting the eight pages of paper, but the music and sound effects are so creepy that you feel like the slender man is just going to reach out and grab you. I’ve played this game quite a few times and am not easily scared when I know something scary is going to happen, but there was one time when I had to turn this game off because it became too much for me to handle. The most important aspect of slender man’s character is the mystery factor. His face is blank and you really don’t know why he’s out to get or if he can speak or anything. Everything about his demeanor is meant to send off a warning signal in the human brain to stay away. It’s definitely more fun with friends and I highly suggest watching Youtube videos of people’s reactions to the game.  I love the types of games that suck you into them and I think slender man does a pretty good job of doing that. It just goes to show that you don’t need high tech equipment or the greatest graphics to get pulled into a good game.
