How I Met Your Mother

How I Met Your Mother is probably the best TV show on earth. It takes you through nine seasons following Ted Mosby and his friends through heartbreak and love and friendships and ridiculous adventures. Told from the perspective of a father to his kids, Ted’s stories are emotional and funny all at once. From his rich playboy friend Barney Stinson to his practically (and eventually) married friends Marshall and Lily, his stories are never bland and they always seem to come back to Robin, the series leaves you hanging constantly, hoping he will finally tell us that Robin is the love of his life, and sometimes he does. But it never lasts long enough to give us real hope. The story portrays so many different takes on love that it’s impossible to be angry with any character for too long before they're dragged back into friendship or romance, and the ride begins all over again.
