Heavy Rain

The game Heavy Rain is an incredible game.  If you for some reason have not heard of Heavy Rain it was released in February 2010.  It is a drama action-adventure video game.  The gist of the game is you start off as a man named Ethan Mars and you have a wife and two sons.  One of your sons is hit by a car and even though you dove in front of the car to try to save him your wife leaves you because you were supposed to be watching him (which you were but you were in a crowded mall and the kid wandered off fast).  One of your sons go missing and you know he has been kidnapped by the Origami killer.  The goal of the game is to try to catch the Origami killer.  In the process of catching the Origami killer you are put to the test.  You also play as three other characters who are detectives trying to help your cause.  There is also multiple endings to this game which I found pretty cool because then the decisions you make really do effect your outcome.  Also, the gameplay of this game was pretty different from what I am used to.  It isn't a free roam kind of world and it isn't all about shooting and butchering people.

This game will toy with your emotions and personally gave me anxiety about making the right decisions.  I got emotionally attached to this game, and while it was very depressing and made me anxious it was also touching and made me want to keep playing until the end.  It has one of the best story lines that I have ever played through and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who is into mystery games.
