Peter and the Wolf Sand Animation

Who knew sand could be such a great art form to tell stories with? I thought the Peter and the Wolf sand animation we watched in class gave off a very eerie vibe, which helped make the wolf even more dark and scary. There were obvious limitations present, and it was evident it would take a ridiculous amount of time to pull this type and scale of sand animation off, but it added to the amount of creativity that was present. For drawing everything in sand, I was amazed how she kept it all organized and looking like what she wanted to portray, rather than it all falling apart. I would never be able to focus on a table of sand for the amount of time it would take to make 5 seconds of footage, so I applaud her for completing the project and making a beautifully dark, but in the end enlightening, film.
