Influences

I can't help but notice that most of the film's we watched in class today was about the beginning, creation, and Genesis. It makes me think about the different types of influences that help artists today create their films. If all influences are associated with the bible does that mean that we are isolated on our views of life and the world around us? There are, in my opinion, only so many ways we can interpret what the gospel says before it becomes twisted and miscommunicated.

In my opinion people should be influenced by the bible but should still explore other topics without using the bible. Now I'm not trying to conform to society and say that religious views shouldn't be presented in our world; they shouldn't contain only christian views either.

In my opinion a great peace of art is one that connects to all people. My definition of coexisting in media is to have a world where each person can be exposed to whatever type of views they want. Rather that be Islam, Buddhism, Atheist, Judaism, Paganism, Wiccan, or Christianity. Now not all of these views may necessarily be right, I for one am a Christian, but they shouldn't be denied their way of life.

Just some food for thought
