Intro Post Thingamajig

Hey, guys! My name is Taylor Marcussen, and before I started writing this post, I was struggling to peel an orange.

I'm a freshman, and I'm double majoring in Animation and Computer Science. Wanna hear a computer science joke? Okay, here it goes. There are 10 types of people in the world: those who understand binary code and those who don't.

I like Andrew Hussie's webcomic, Homestuck, a whole lot, and I read a couple of other webcomics, including Ava's Demon, Writhe & Shine, and Cloudy with a Chance of Doom. The art in Ava's Demon is everything I want out of life. It's super gorgeous.

BUT MOSTLY HOMESTUCK. HOMESTUCK IS MY CHILD. If you also read it, you should talk to me, and we can be nerds together. Uh, I mean... COOL K1DS H3H3H3 >:]

I'm also obsessed with the band Gorillaz, and my favorite song by them is probably "Empire Ants." I like everything on their Plastic Beach album, though.

I decided to go into animation my junior year of high school when ParaNorman came out. I went to see it during the first week it was out (I still have the ticket stub from August 21, 2012) and thought, "THIS. I want to do THIS." My dad said that he would only send me to Huntington for animation if I had a "practical" degree to back it up, so that's where the computer science comes in. Not that I mind; I'm enjoying my computer science class so far.

Because of my love of webcomics, I would love to do something similar except... more like an animated web series. I think that would be fun.
