Youtube

While most people use youtube to watch things like music videos and other random things, I actually use it more to watch vloggers. I got started on that when I discovered the Vlogbrothers. The vlogbrothers are 2 brothers are 2 brothers who gave up textual communication for a year, and communicated with each other only through video blogs. I came in a few years after, but they were still making videos, even though the year was up. They had ended up building up a fanbase, so they decided to continue it. They are friends with lots of other vloggers, so I would find some through them.  Hank, one of the brothers, is a Wizard rocker, so I went looking for other songs and I found Harry and the Potters, my favorite wizard Rock band.

Eventually I started getting involved in fandoms on the internet, whech is where I met most of my closest friends. She's actually a wrocker, so she goes to fan conferences, which is actually where we finally got to meet. She vlogs regularly, and she is partially why I love vloggers so much.

A lot of people don't really think about youtube having a fanbase, but there are many different ones for different channels, and for colaborations.
