Smaller Characters

We never really talked about this in class (as far as I know, I’m very ADD and my mind tends to wander at times) but I wanted to bring this up.  I think it is funny how smaller characters in movies and video games can make such a large impact on that media.
Do you remember the squirrel from Ice Age?

Cicero from Skyrim or any of its many small roles?
The three blind mice from Shrek?
The fat man that lost his ice cream in Lilo and Stitch?
Yea, that’s right you do!  (Just nod your head)  Small characters can make a media a whole lot better.  I feel like with the smaller characters it gives a sense of the amount of detail the director put into it.  Smaller characters can give us more background and give stories more depth.  As far as the squirrel from Ice Age goes, I don’t even think I would have liked that movie without that squirrel.  Those smaller characters, at least for me, can make or break it for a media.
