I really love music videos. They are so fun to me. I'm somewhat considering a career in them, but I love feature films a little too much. But anyway, music videos can really do whatever they want, and be whatever they want. They don't have to make sense! You can tell a story in a music video or just be stylistic and artsy - just visuals to the song. The 80s music videos always seem the best to me - they are very creative and I just really love 80s music. I was glad to see the Take on Me video, that one is one of my favorites. The video for New Frontier was interesting, I'm pretty sure I've heard the song, but I've never seen the video. Also that animated one from the 60s with the weird animals and radioactivity - it was strange but it was actually really fun to see.
I do have a really strong admiration for early 2000's music videos of the alternative genre and angsty ones. I really do, as alternative is my favorite music genre. Some of Fall Out Boy's earlier music videos are great - A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More Touch Me, Dance Dance, This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race, and others. I really enjoy them. Not to mention that with their new album, Save Rock n' Roll, they created the Youngblood Chronicles - each of the 11 music videos is a part of a whole series, for each song, each is a new part to the chronicle. It's pretty cool.
That's all I'm going to leave you with in this blog, but I'm blogging several times on music videos, because I love them that much. And there's a lot to talk about.
