The short film "Duel" by Pavel Koutsky demonstrates how we lose our creative intake as we go into public schools and are taught what society wants us to learn. This film really stood out to me, because it points out what most kids who are strong creative thinkers are thinking throughout their grade school years. We can really learn that schools should incorporate and keep the classes that incorporate a student to express their creativity, such as film, journalism, choir, band, etc.
I love how near the end of the film, the students really become themselves, breaking free from the norm and finding their true forms of self expression. It is a film that shows you what you should strive for, and not to be molded into what society wants you to be.
