The prince of Egypt is an awesome movie. When this first came out I was only a kid and I never really thought much about it except that it was a great story and brought to light an important story from the bible. Now that I am grown up I look at this film in a different light. It's interesting nowadays how Christians try to create films now. Typically they are far more "cheesy" if you will, have bad acting and are only geared towards a particular audience, but are meant for a wide audience it never receives (typically). But this film, this one is extremely different. It is a great story told from a Dreamworks artistic perspective, but tries to stay as true as possible to the original story. It's amazing to think that this film isn't just a "Christian Film", it is meant for three different religions. I'm sure to Dreamworks amazement this brought a wider audience to come buy tickets for the film. It's interesting how you can tell a story without giving the film a religions title to it, how much it will help increase the films popularity. The Prince of Eygpt is based on the Exodus of the Israelites and has religious connotations, but it's also in general a really great film.
