Moc Doc Tic Toc

We have seen a few documentaries but the one that jumped out at me last time was Ryan. Imagine if every down and out artist had a chance to have their story told and to be highlighted to be given another glance when they got near the worst times of their life. Unfortunately not everyone gets that chance, which is what I got out of this film. Instead we have to make our own chances and if we make it, God be praised.

I've found documentaries to be rather boring and while I got something from Ryan, it wasn't the best we've seen so far. I would say the most interesting was Indie Game: The Movie. There is something about a real story being told by real people that Ryan didn't capture. Sometimes “breaking the rules” makes a film better and sometimes it really stinks.

Now mockumentaries are another animal. Satirical and humorous tall tales weaved into a somewhat convincing story. (R2-D2: Beneath the Dome) But while these are fun to watch, they also lack a truth to them that limits my ability to enjoy the film.

All in all, documentaries aren't my specialty.

Not sure if this counts as a documentary or propaganda.
