Joss Whedon

I'd like to talk to you about one of my favorite artists - Joss Whedon. He is by far the kind of person I strive to be. You may have heard him be called, "The King of the Nerds" or other affectionate titles, and well it's true. He's done all sorts of things within the comic, nerd, geek genre. But he's also done much more. He's a writer, a director, a designer, and an all around nerdy creative person.

Joss Whedon is the director of Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron. Avengers was brilliant and was such a masterful way to connect the huge universe that is the MCU. He has also been behind the shows, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Dollhouse, Angel, and Serenity. Did you know he wrote the screenplay for Toy Story?? That's sweet. But his expertise is comics and the supernatural.

One of the favorites, no, my absolute favorite work from him is his run writing Astonishing X-Men. He wrote the first 24 issues, and those were some of the most beautifully written comics I've ever read. Not to mention we have the same favorite character of Kitty Pryde. I respect his writing and I've read a lot of his work, plus also tips from his view as a director and writer.

Joss Whedon is one of my all-time favorite writers and directors. Also, if you've never seen Dr. Horrible's Sing-A-Long Blog, go watch it. It's a beautiful 45-minute movie. Here's a sample.
