Import gaming

*This is my last gaming blog. I swear*

One segment of gaming I was not surprised totally surprised that no one mentioned is import gaming.
Essentially, one imports games for one of two reasons: The game is never, ever, EVER coming out stateside, or to play it earlier.

Now personally, I've only imported two games, ever (JoJo's Bizarre Adventure All Star Battle, EX Troopers). I imported both games because there was no hope of an US release. However, JoJo did get one, albeit with the names changed, which I bought despite importing it, because there was no way for me to buy the DLC.

Ignore that the main character is every single Shonen Jump trope combined, and you'll have a great time with this gem.

The only problem is the language barrier. I fully understand not wanting to import Danganronpa or another story focused game. However, JoJo is a fighting game, so fortunately, the only thing I really couldn't understand was the dialogue and text. EX Troopers literally has no language barrier at all. I can't read a letter of Japanese and could understand fully what I was supposed to do. The only barrier to EX Troopers is that if you want to play the 3DS version, you have to import a JP 3DS as well (I bought the PS3 version. HAIL REGION FREE CONSOLES!)
