Just look at this guy
More interesting than the fact that they are making these games by themselves was the fact that they were good games and very popular games. I think the stories of people that totally failed at making a successful game would be much more interesting. The stories in the video we watched were upset the whole time they were making it and had problems, but it all turned out fine in the end. What about the people who do all of that and then sell no games?
I think it was beautiful how the documentary captured the social lives of meat-man creators. It was kind of forced but there was something that was genuine about how much love and support was surrounding them. I think it is a "must" for good artist to have social lives. Some people may seclude themselves and make interesting pieces, but that is not art. At least not in my eyes. I need to see the feelings of the artist and his culture through the work, but that is simply not done by only communicating with ones-self.
