Anyone Can Make A Difference

The animated short film, "The Man Who Planted Trees", tells the story of a man who began planting tree seedlings after his only son and wife died. He became isolated and lived on his own, planting thousands of seeds. One young man is greeted by the man when he is out in the middle of the desert with no food or water, and the man provides for him, and even lets him sleep in his house. In the beginning of the story the man has many sheep too.
Several years later the young man comes back, and isn't so young anymore. The man is now very old, but continues to plant man seeds. Some of the seeds have grown into trees, which was extremely impressive since the land used to be a desert. By the time the elderly man dies, the trees have reached a large expanse of land, and people even start declaring the land environmentally protected. The film comes to show that if you stick to what you believe in, or if you just want to make a difference, almost anything is possible. Never give up.
