So Keith Lango had some very interesting points that were made in our reading of his. He discusses setting the standard in animation and how a lot may look to Pixar as that standard. How a lot of animators may strive to achieve and be like Pixar. Pixar has achieved success with their work and many animators may try to imitate it. Keith Lango has a phenomenal point. He addresses the fact that not all the best animation has to meet a standard set by an entity that has been extremely successful. Keeping original and new is the best way to go about working on your projects. Anything can be great if you put your mind to it. Today we saw this in the Pixar short films. Even at one time the young Pixar company was not setting the standard or even meeting a standard set by others. They were paving their own way through originality and new ideas. I'm not the biggest fan of Pixar, but they have done some pretty great things.
