The Burning Bush

It's hard to find a piece of christian art as big and fantastic as The Prince of Egypt. I remember watching this film even as a kid. I can remember liking it as a kid but finding it a bit boring. As an adult I discovered that it was one of my favorite animated films. It manages to capture the greatness of God, the power, and even the enigmatic ways of God.
The best example is in the scene with the burning bush. Most people would want to create this giant pillar of fire stemming from one tiny bush, but instead they make this ethereal, blue light and the voice of God is little more than a whisper. This gives the feeling that God is something that does not seem understanble, but at the same time loving and benevolent. While appearing harmless, the mysterious fire flares when Moses tries to back out of the task God gives him. Both the vengeful and loving Gods are shown at once, and both mysterious.
