On another note,
I can't remember if we actually said this in class, but I know someone's blog mentioned how being a Christian is more of the "finding your way through the dark forest and fighting dragons" part of the fairy tale. I really love their quote because it is so dang true. Which is kind of fun when you think about it, because that's where all the action and exciting things happen. Who doesn't dream about going on an adventure? I was on BuzzFeed and stumbled across this lovely gif which pointed out the conversation about fairy tales and dragons.
Rory doesn't know what's ahead of her.
Now this picture comes from one of my favorite shows of all time, Gilmore Girls. The series has nothing to do with fairy tales, but it is about life. But the fact that I found this quote and it fit so well with what we've been talking about is pretty cool. The show is about the relationship between a mother and daughter who live in an small, eccentric Connecticut town and their lives as they continue to grow. I love this show so much I own all 7 seasons and have seen each episode at least 10 times (easily). It's one of those shows to me that just doesn't get old. My sisters, Mom, and I constantly are using quotes from the show. Sometimes we just say a quote out of nowhere and it fits perfectly wit the situation because we all know the context of the episode it was from. The writing is brilliant along with the acting. It has honestly taught me so many life lessons as well. I gotten so attached to the characters and town of Stars Hollow.
So, Gilmore Girls is an excellent show and I encourage you to check it out. Also, here's a random show and post put right in the middle of all the evolution posts. Yay randomness!
