Hey Howdy Hey
Hi. My name is Nate Walker and I'm a freshman majoring in animation. I've always had a love for art and telling stories. I remember creating picture books when I was little, which then grew into making comic strips, then filming short videos with a point-and-shoot, and then finally making stop-motion videos. I've been blessed to receive great advice from my fine art instructor Lisa Guckleberg (whom I took classes from for seven years), and my grandfather, who is a photographer. I'm a huge fan of Pixar (at least their work prior to Cars 2), and their movies and short films inspired me to pursue animation. Some earlier inspirations came from all those kids' television shows that I watched when I was somewhere between the ages of 5-8. You know, the really good shows that just aren't on nowadays like Blue's Clues, Rolie Polie Olie, Bear in the Big Blue House, Clifford, Dragon Tales, The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, and so forth. And nothing beats the classic Mickey, Donald, and Goofy shorts every now and then. So yeah, I'm a fan of animation...I also like drawing, photography, joke writing...and being in the great outdoors (cuz, you know, you gotta remember to take those breaks and pull away from the computer screen once in a while). Last thing I'll mention is that I love, love Lego. To animate, of course, not to play with...oh no... I mean, "the way I'm using it is kind of an adult thing" --Lord Business, The Lego Movie.
