Video Killed Richard Nixon

The presentations on Thursday were all really great! I enjoyed Evie's one on horror survival games. It kind of puts me in the mood to play them, even though I get scared really easily. I get scared when I accidentally die in Morrowind, which is not a horror game. Still, I might try my hand at some more of them. Maybe I'll go for the less realistic ones and play them with the lights on.

Also, the broadcasting one. I learned a lot of interesting things about that one. It was fascinating to see the first news broadcast and hear the first radio broadcast. It's amazing how far we've come since those days.
I'm kind of sad about MTV, though. I wish it was still all music all the time because I like music a whole lot.

Ben's presentation about musical films was also really good. I think he was very wise about picking which clips to show us. The dancing one from The Fiddler on the Roof was intense! And I kind of want to see Les Mis now because of the singing dialogue. (I've never seen Les Mis, it's true. Please do not stone me to death or whatever it is that you do to people who haven't seen/read classic stories like that.)
