Godzilla the movie completely blew my mind. I had never seen any of the first Godzilla movies so I could never really judge this one based on the old ones. I knew the story behind Godzilla but that was pretty much it. I was totally confused at first when I saw the big dinosaur monster at the beginning. I knew that was not what Godzilla was suppose to look like. It was throwing me off until the son of the scientist started to clear up all of the confusion. I knew everything was about to be bad when it started in Japan though. Crazy stuff always happens in Japan in movies.
I grew rather attached to the idea of Godzilla. I was with the Japanese scientist from the beginning in just letting the monsters battle it out themselves. Clearly the bullets they had were not going to do anything. The ending of the movie was what really made the movie for me though. Godzilla comes out of nowhere to handle business. There was just enough human intervention to keep the role of humans relevant too. The nuke at the end had me feeling some type of way though. I was not a fan at all of that but it still completed the ending. It was a great movie and anyone who has not seen it is missing out.
