George Lucas

I will admit I have never watched a full episode of Star Wars. I don’t know the differences between the old and the new episodes or which ones are the good ones and which are the bad. I did catch almost every reference however, because I think if you’ve lived in America your whole life it’s practically impossible not to catch on.  I have probably heard at some point in the past that there is a religious connection, but I didn’t remember until this class. Again, because I haven’t seen them I can neither confirm nor deny this, but it sounds like something people would get in a fuss about. Loose Ends gives a great depiction of this. People can argue back and forth on the matter and never really get anywhere and ultimately end up losing the war because they were not focused on the big picture.

George Lucas in Love was clever and funny. I loved how easy it was to follow. I’m not anywhere near being part of the Star Wars fandom but I still understood it. It’s funny because I wish it was that easy to take all of your life situations and take all the people in your life and turn it into a story, but at the same time it kind of is that easy because most stories are like that. I guess I wish some of the characters in my life had the same flavor as George Lucas’.
