When Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim came out, it was truly ground-breaking and seemed to change the face of commercial gaming. The depth of the story is incredible, and the amount of time you can spend on the game in a single player is stunning.
I currently have 530 hours of Skyrim logged on Steam. About 300 of those are spent on my first character. There's that much content. Then, once they released the DLC's even more content was available.
Yes Skyrim isn't an "indie" game. It's a huge commercial game with thousands of workers. I acknowledge that huge companies like Bethesda aren't the only companies that make good games. Indie games are also amazing. I think there's so much value in those too.
