Interstellar

     Over the weekend some friends and I went to see Interstellar. It was one of the most information packed movies I have ever seen and immediately after watching it I wasn't sure just how much I liked it. After taking some time to process it and think about its various themes I came to the conclusion that it was one of the best films I have viewed in theater. The thing that caused me to wonder how much I liked it at first was the science fiction feel it had to it. I'm not a huge fan of science fiction films so anytime a movie dives too deep into this idea I tend not to like them. However, Interstellar seemed to toe this line perfectly by combining potentially real life scenarios with science fiction. In addition this was one of the most ambitious films I have ever seen due to its vast storytelling and its sense of adventure. The film really caused you to think about life outside of our planet and even solar system which caused me to question many things I thought I knew about space and how it works. I highly recommend that people see this film because it is an extremely intelligent film that is also quite entertaining.
