Element 3D V2!

As an aspiring visual effects artist I can’t tell you how excited I am for Video Copilot’s new update for Element 3D. Ever since the first version came out I was completely blow away by what you could do with it. Like importing 3D model with dual 4K textures directly into After Effects, being able to extrude text layers in AE and give them a metallic texture, and being able to animate the different object. This was huge for me, considering the fact that I had no idea how to use programs like Maya or 3ds Max. But through using this plug-in, I have learn a lot about how the different texture maps for 3d objects, like diffuse, specular, normal, environment, etc work and how combining them gives you a very realistic result. Because of this, slowly and surely I'm becoming more comfortable with the more advance 3D programs.

Here are some of the test shots I've done using Element.

I don't mean for this to sound like an advertisement, but if you any of you guys (and girls) are interested in motion graphics and/or visual effects, you should check out this plug-in. While it will never replace a program like Maya, it's a great place to start.
