So
today I thought I would blog about Small hands. That of all the videos is
sticking to me the most. It might be that I don't fully understand the
after effects of having participated in genocide or getting a little kid out of
a fridge since I haven't done either of those things. So I have been
watching the video now a couple of times trying to soak it all in. It
starts out like a kid’s movie all happy as all the animals have their special
someone. Then it takes a turn for the worse as you see predators appear (in a
way it’s life and its problems). Of course this video takes shape like
nature does because they have to eat to live. Then in the next shot you
just see one of each couple that lived. This kind of led me think about
life in the future because it posses what happens to the one who lives.
If you are like the rabbit a bad home invasion, the frog a lovely day by
the pond and you meet the wrong person or poor timing and location. As it
is these are all things that can happen and have happened (and if you have a
mom like mine you hear about that stuff).
It kind of makes me think of how you
handle that. So many couples avoid that question
or thought. Though it makes me think of
a Greek myth where a couple host Zeus and another God real nicely so they grant
them a wish and they choose to pass away together at the same time so they don’t
live without each other. So when their
time comes they became trees that connect together for all time.
This film really struck me too. This film is definitely a tough version in life.. of course others will most likely avoid it.
