HI! WELCOME!

Greetings!

A little bit about me: I am from Fort Wayne, Indiana and went to a high school there called Bishop Dwenger. I am a Catholic and have gone to Catholic schools my whole life! I'm also a runner and I LOVE to run. I am running for HU this year and this will be the beginning of my 9th year of cross country! I am really excited to get to meet a lot of new people and to learn a lot about making films. I believe film can be the strongest art form out there!

Now about my passion for film. It all started the summer before my Freshman year of high school where I would stay up late watching movies and thinking about how I'd love to be behind the camera making a movie. Back then I had next to no idea what actually went in to making a movie so I soon forgot about it. Fast forward to Junior year and I start to seriously think about pursuing film as a career. So I signed up for a class and went from there! I started following film news and watching TONS of movies. I kinda became the movie guy at my school. I have a big thing for independent films and classic and foreign film. Honestly, I am kind of picky when it comes to what I REALLY like in a film. I am a fan of Akira Kurosawa and Ingmar Bergman as opposed to people like Spielberg and Edgar Wright if that puts it into perspective. I really enjoy the smaller artsy films that really stand out and mean something. Movies with a message. So that's what I want to do with my future! I don't want to be the guy that is up for Academy Awards or anything like that, but rather the small time indie filmmaking that makes stuff that matters! So you'll probably often see me complaining about the most recent blockbuster and working on small narrative shorts and documentaries because that's what I love to do!

Although, if anyone needs help I'll definitely be helpful on crew! I have experience working as an intern with a production company in Ft Wayne so I know my way around a set!

(From Ingmar Bergmans Seventh Seal aaaaahhhh I love it)
